Effect: Here’s a close-up novelty, a trick with son pieces of coal. Why not? The performer shows a small piece of coal, this suddenly multiplies to two, then to three. Two pieces placed into the left hand, remaining piece placed into right pocket, when left hand is opened, out rolls three pieces! A member of the audience is now requested to touch one of the three pieces, the chosen piece is placed into left hand, the remaining two pieces placed into right jacket pocket.
In the patter routine, performer refers to productivity, and concludes by saying he prefers Coke to coal. Whereupon left hand is opened to reveal a … BOTTLE OF COCA COLA! This is a perfect miniature of the real thing and contains real liquid! This is an excellent close-up trick that packs a real punch climax.
With the apparatus supplied you can show the hands absolutely empty and produce a bottle of Coke from a handkerchief and for a third effect you speak of people “bottling up their problems” and you are no exception I
