Description

I’m sure in Eric’s hands this was a complete miracle, but I’m not sure how convincing it is forty years later. Particularly in my hands. It does look cool, but I’m not convinced modern audiences would be that baffled.

It is not hard to do, but takes a little practice to get the knack so you can perform it flawlessly.

Effect: ERIC MASON is one of this country’s leading graphic designers. He is also a painter and illustrator. Of course we know Eric as a magical illustrator and as a performer and magical inventor. I personally consider Eric to be one of the finest impromptu performers in this country.

I have not seen a better performer. Eric constantly baffles me with his magic and his misdirection is out of this world. I spent an evening in a pub with Eric once and the impromptu magic that he performed was a lesson to anyone interested in magic. Eric is always prepared for his performance wherever he travels. Various pulls and bits and pieces are always in position and ready for performance wherever he may be. If you take a brisk walk with Eric, he jingles quite clearly.

Here is Eric’s very latest item and it has been a really popular item too. You place four beautiful antique keys on the table. The-spectator chooses two and you take the others. You hold one in your hand and you touch the head of the other to it. Lo and behold, the one key is suspended from the other and spins in the air for at least 20 seconds.

You can change one or both keys with the spectator, yet your keys will always spin and the spectator will always meet with total failure.

This is an elegant close up mystery with a principle old to magic used by many but now with beautiful props – repeatable yet no skill required.

A walk-about effect that is always ready for performance. Top marks Eric.
