Description

This is a very clever effect which is easy to do.

Originally a pencil and paper magic trick. Bev Bergeron added his professional touches and published his routine, Child’s Play, in Lee Earle’s SYZYGY.

This adaptation, by Steve Schieszer, utilizes a Color Force and colored plastic X’s and O’s, so the magician can play as the X and control the center square. Instead of handing the Tic-Tac-Toe board, turning the same.

The “prediction” is turned to show a matching outcome of the game board. In Steve’s version, two “predictions” are utilized. One shows yellow O’s and one shows green O’s. When the participant names a color, yellow or green, they are given that color of O’s and the matching prediction, which shows tile appropriate color of O’s on the printed prediction.

Effect: There are 362,880 possible outcomes! That is why the “revelation” of all 9 positions played in either version makes such an impact!

“The use of color is a clever addition, a new twist” – Bev Bergeron

This is a great close-up or parlor piece of apparatus that provides a powerful punch. Expansions, variations, and instructions provided by some of magic most prolific creators! You set a folded piece of paper down next to a golden tray with raised plastic cubes marked with X’s and O’s. Then you and the participant play a game of tic-tac-toe, dropping 3D Playing Pieces into spaces in the tray. Unfortunately, nobody wins… But wait – that tie game could have ended in any one of hundreds of different ways. You hand the spectator that folded paper and when she opens it, she discovers that you had pre-written a fully-played game of tic-tac-toe and it matches exactly the one just played.  You have predicted the exact outcome.

Trick-Tac-Toe 1.0 comes with everything you need.

  • There is no slight of hand.
  • No preparation.
  • No set-up.
  • No multiple outs.
  • No matter how your spectator decides to play, your paper predicts the endgame perfectly.

Special thanks for Bev Bergeron, Craig Greenwood.
