Description

This wonderful and creative item was invented by Ian Adair c. 1959 and released by Supreme Magic c. 1962. It is an easy to perform effect with color, magic, and a little bit of sucker action too – what more could you wish for?

Interestingly enough when I was doing kids magic as a teenager I was a regular purchaser from Supreme Magic, but I don’t recall ever seeing this beauty. I’m sure if I had I would have added it to my show. Finding colorful and easy to do effects for the younger children can be quite a challenge and this will keep the young kids happy but also amaze and amuse the adults too.

Effect: That young man of Magic IAN ADAIR has really HIT THE MAGICAL JACKPOT once again and come up with a beautiful effect that entertainers everywhere are going to RAVE over as being the TOPS IN ENTERTAINMENT.

Oh yes, the entertainment comes first, but here too you will find cleverness in magic! The result is a pleasing cameo, colourful and utterly appealing! Of course, WE’RE prejudiced for we’re Ian’s fans! and we’re willing to bet that you will be too when you add this lovely mystery to your programme! A SUPREME EXCLUSIVE EFFECT!

A beautiful Magical creation wherein surprise follows surprise and where colour and mystery are incorporated with a dash of comedy by-play. We say that here is a great trick for any audience ! One that will thrill any child with its charming patter-story and presentation.

One that will baffle and intrigue any adult and which will leave them with an impression of your skill. The cloth is removed from a small stand, and there is a plaque with a picture of a butterfly in blue, white and black. Vivid splashes of colour appear on the butterfly’s wings and these turn out to be COLOURED SILKS tucked through cut-outs in the plaque, red, yellow, green and purple.

The silks are removed and the butterfly, minus its vivid colouring, is covered with a small cloth. The four silks are placed into a beaker, shown empty and unprepared, and this is covered with a small paper tube. The tube is removed and the beaker shown empty.

The silks have gone! ” But what is inside the tube ? ” the audience may well ask! NOTHING AT ALL! The tube is torn open and into little pieces. No silks, no fekes!

The cloth is removed from the Butterfly and there are the silks all back in position on the Silken Butterfly. Once more they are removed.

Now comes the ” final pay-off ” and it’s one that will make your audience gasp with delight. The four silks are tossed into the air and flutter down-now no longer separate silks, but transformed into a BEAUTIFUL RAINBOW SILK, made up from the four colours.

Another presentation: If you work slick, quick, you can have your assistant hold the plaque. No cover of any kind used, no paper tube for the vanish. Silks are placed into the beaker which is held between the hands. Silks vanish. (NO PULLS OR ELASTICS USED. ENTIRELY SELF-CONTAINED). Silks VISIBLY reappear back in the Butterfly, are openly removed and visibly change to a Rainbow !

No fekes of any kind used for the Blendo effect. Just remove the silks from the stand, toss them into the air, and a rainbow comes down! Size of the plaque is 10″ x 7″. Beaker is red polythene and unbreakable. Silks approx. 9″ with an 18″ Rainbow. We supply it complete with all these items, plus tubes, cloth etc., and full routines. Nothing else to buy.
