Description
This great comedy effect first appeared in Anverdi’s Miracles With Liquids and although it is not really a magic effect it is made very well and to the same exacting standards of all of Anverdi’s Perspex items.
On this version the very top also comes off and you can affix it loosely with Vaseline or sellotape works well, or if you desire you can easily glue it more permanently. I thought it was better to keep it separate for now and just used sellotape for the video.
Effect: This is more a joke than a magic effect. The bottle may be transparent or colored. It can be used in many ways and the audience will just love it.
- Have a glass on the table and turn the bottle. The glass however, is too far away. Pull out the long neck 🙂
- Have a glass in your left hand and move the bottle forwards to pour some liquid into the glass. Suddenly, the long neck sticks out and the liquid spills on the floor.
- And for those in the audience who like a “long drink”. Take a very small glass and pull out the long neck.
- When the neck is closed with a cork or your thumb, the neck looks like a dipstick. The magician can see how much liquid there is in the bottle.
- Working with an assistant, take a glass in the left hand and the bottle in the right hand. The assistant stays near the magician (left side). When the magician moves the bottle forward to fill the glass, the assistant shows a glass and then pulls out the neck to fill her glass.
