What a lovely version of Run Rabbit Run made by Supreme. Based on my favorite version that I used when I was performing to children in my teenage years.
This is well made in metal and will last a lifetime. I like this smaller size as you can easily handle it with one hand. I also like how the patter switches things around and you start without showing the alien and then he pops his head out of the side door – that is a nice touch.
You’ll love this little guy for sure 🙂

Effect: Run Rabbit Run was a brilliant effect originated by the late HARRY LEAT and a Supreme Exclusive, (Supreme purchased the business of the late Harry Leat some years ago and the rights to his effects), but the children have seen it and maybe have seen other variations on the same theme too … SO HERE’S ANOTHER ONE. – It’s DIFFERENT, it’s TOPICAL, it’s TIMELY, for nowadays all of us are space-orientated and children especially love films and stories of OUTER SPACE.
Currently, the Television Show ‘Buck Rogers in the 25th Century’ has won an award as the rop children’s program; at the cinemas one can see ‘Super Man’; on T.V., ‘Super Man’, ‘Wonder Woman’, ‘Doctor Who’, ‘Star Trek’, and a whole lor more, films guaranteed to excite the imagination. Space Games, ‘Invaders’, ‘Star Wars’ etc., are at the forefront.
NOW YOU CAN BRING THE SPACE AGE INTO YOUR MAGIC SHOW.
First you decide which of the programs the children LIKE THE BEST and from this you deduce the pan your HERO is going to play; a young man from the audience who you can suitably attire, – there’s lots of space -toys and so on available from any toy shop, you’ll have no difficulty here.
You tell of a STRANGE LANDING ON EARTH, with two space-ships which land side by side, apparently devoid of any life form. Whilst you are saying this and showing the apparatus, which is as depicted, a little Green Man with a space helmet and yellow space-suit peeks out around the edge of one of the space-ships. You never see him and neither does your young assistant, who is all armed ready to shoot him!
Of course, when you look inside the space-ship the little man with his pointed ears scoots along and gets into the other one! ALL the fun of ‘Run Rabbit Run’ PLUS a topical story. Alter lots ol laughs you do catch the space creature and push him into the nose cone of the rocket, but again he escapes, and finally he disappears altogether.
There’s laughter, surprise, suspense and excitement before you eventually discover him again, and make him disappear again if you wish!
THE APPARATUS IS SUPER DE-LUXE.
The rockets really are shaped like rockets with builtin nose cones. The apparatus is 100% SOLIDLY CONSTRUCTED IN METAL and with turnout feet so that it will stand upright on your table if you wish. VERY VISUAL and an effect that can be loads and LOADS of fun.
Supreme have presented several variations on this beautiful classic trick: the Original, The Ghost Hunt, and now ANOTHER dressing by EDWIN, this time with a SPACE theme, – SPACE TREK. Here is TOMORROW’S Magic TODAY … real exciting stuff that the kids will just love and with audience.
A Novel Story:
How many of you like to watch movies or TV shows about Space Travel and Outer Space Creatures? That’s great so do I. How many saw Star Wars? And, who watches Star Trek on TV? I thought it would be nice if we could have a space age program today, so you’ll have to imagine that the year is Four Thousand and twenty one!
It was a cool, clear evening when suddenly two bright, brilliant orange lights were seen in the sky hurtling towards earth. What could they be? The lights were so bright that the evening twilight turned into broad daylight. Over the earth was mass Hysteria. Telephones stopped working, cars wouldn’t run, and electric power went out all over the planet. Down from the sky came two enormous spaceships, landing not far from each other. Would you like to see what the two alien space craft looked like?
Well, here they are!
For days, the spaceships just sat there. There was no sign of life o f any kind. (Spaceman peeks out.) Life detecting sensors could not find any life at all. (Peeks out again.) There’s a space man in there? No, I don 1 t think so (peeks out again), but we’ll take a look. (just before you reach to open door he runs t0 other side.) No, there ‘s no one here.
The other space ship? No , I really don’t think so, but I’ll take a look. (You open the door and there is the alien!) Oh, I don’t like the way he looks at all. (Take him out.) He’s all green, and has a space helmet on , no I don’t like the look of him. I’m going to put him back in the ship, right through the nose cone. I think we’ll be safe as long as he stays in there. You’ll let me know if he tries to escape , won ‘t you. (He runs to other side.)
What , he went to the other ship? I’ll check and see. (He runs back . ) No , he’s not here. (Keep this up several times, occasionally having h im peek around the door . Finally, open both doors.) Well, he’s gone. Let’s check the back doors, also. Nope, not in either ship.
Let’s hope he’s gone back to his distant planet and never bothers us again. Magician turns around showing the little space man on his back.
