Description

Effect: Jim Klein’s Mortimer’s Magic Magazine ran from 1990 through December 1992, for 13 total spiral-bound issues averaging 50 pages each and put out quarterly. Mortimer is the fictitious character created by Jim Klein and Dawn Gibb. Some issues originally came with extra props such as cards, printouts, etc. and all of these extras are included too.

Mortimer’s Magic Magazine began with the purpose of presenting new routines, ideas, and patter for the magician who wanted to add it to his stage show, do it at a magic meeting, or simply amaze his friends without having to spend years practicing.

As time went on, Close-Up magic did make its way into Mortimer’s because that is what many magicians were contributing. That was fine because it gave a balance to the magic being presented.
