Description
A really great visual item from Werry which is relatively easy to perform. However, if you want the dice examined you will need to switch it because even with a cursory examination you can see the die is gimmicked 🙁 This is a shame because it would be easier to perform if you didn’t actually have to make the switch, which I have seen with similar effects.
Ken Allen released an almost identical item c. 1962 called Die-Namic but his die was gimmicked much better and did not need to be switched.
Effect: The magician leaves a beer mat on a glass to examine most closely. After he has received it back, he places the die on top and places the lid and die over an ordinary drinking glass. Then he presses with his fingertips right on the die, whereupon it immediately and visibly penetrates the beer cap and into the glass below. And the spectators can now remove the beer mat from the glass and inspect everything. Nothing to see. The die cannot be inspected unless one is switched out and we provide an unprepared dice for this.
Werry’s VISIBLE DIE BREAKTHROUGH is what the “Visible Magic at its Best!”
A novel effect, and a wonderful principle.
