Description
The first version of this effect was actually created by Yuichi Katakura for Tricks Co. called Ultra Coins.
Eddie Gibson produced a few flavors of this effect, these are the ones I know of and I’m sure there were more:
- Two Half Dollars
- One Half Dollar and One English Old Penny
- Two Chinese Coins
Effect: A lovely little quickie that looks like sleight of hand. Two casino chips are shown and turned over as they are passed from hand to hand to show two different colors.
A short story’ is told about being down to the last two chips in a Chinese gambling casino, having lost all available cash. In two minds, not knowing whether to play the last chips or cash them in and get a cab home, first one chip CHANGES TO A CHINESE COIN before the second chip CHANGES TO A CHINESE COIN, COMPLETE WITH HOLE THROUGH THE CENTER.
The coins are not much in value, however, so you leave them as a tip when leaving.
Visual magic right under the spectator’s nose!
