PLEASE NOTICE: DUE TO SHIPPING REGULATIONS AND/OR THE COST TO SHIP THIS LOT, WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING BIDS WITH FINAL DESTINATIONS IN THE USA.Howard Westgate invented the wonderfulWestgate Bowl Production when he was at highschool c. 1939. In 1951 Bev Taylor’s Town House Magic released their Improved Westgate Bowl Production and included the wonderful silk production before the bowl and goldfish were produced.
This version was made by Warren Hamilton c. 1964 (yes famous for Jo-Anne) and he incorporated the improvements from Town House Magic and created the definitive version of this clever effect.
What a clever and beautiful version this is. If you were looking for a version of The Westgate Bowl Production this is the only one to get, whether it is for performance or your collection you can’t go wrong with this beauty 🙂
Includes:
- The bowl, tray, cover and heavy foulard.
- Large boquet of spring flowers (bonus).
- String of silks (bonus).
- Realistic looking plastic goldfish (bonus).
Effect: To start with, something, is seen on a plain flat tray, all wrapped up in a pretty doth. The object is unwrapped and turns out to be a fancy wooden hat-like affair which is then shown empty. This was actually the only thing in the cloth and it is shown very clearly empty.
The colors on the tray make a very pretty outfit. Now setting the frame on the tray and pulling the cloth up through it to again show it empty, you are all ready to begin the production.
First a large bouquet of spring flowers are produced, then a good quantity of silks are produced, and then finally the frame is lifted off the tray and there is a bowl of goldfish in water large enough to completely fill the frame!
