They also made a solid Bang Gun and a Sausage Gun but I am unable to find anything else about this company.
The method is based on an idea by Will Blyth called The Mystic Circle in his book Effective Conjuring (c. 1928, pg 17). Which itself was based on a card effect also called The Mystic Circle released by Thayer c. 1921. But the original card effect dates back to at least 1876 and Professor Hoffmann’s Modern Magic (pg. 104) with the catchy titled: “A row of cards being placed faced downwards on the table to indicate by turning up one of them how many of such cards have during your absence been transferred from one end of the row to the other.” A popular version of the same principle was Ken Brooks Burmese Bangle. A simpler version of Blyth’s Mystic Circle was called the Domino Box and was sold as a neat plastic box by Kanter’s and Tannen’s c. 1950 as the Mental Domino Trick (see Martin Gardner, Mathematics, Magic and Mystery c. 1956, pg. 110).

This item is very well manufactured and is perfect for parlor and small stage shows as the dominoes can be clearly seen. It uses a simple but effective method that is dressed up perfectly with the quality props employed. And it allows you to perform a convincing multi-phase routine all centered around a small token called “The Talisman of Zotte“.
Comes with detailed instructions and a simple to follow multi-phase routine.
Effect: Ten large dominoes are placed in a free standing display case which is fitted with a door. With the door closed, dominoes may be taken one at a time from the bottom of the display case and replaced at the top.
- Whilst the performer’s back is turned, a member of the audience removes some of the dominoes from the bottom of the display case and places them at the top. The door to the display case remains closed; however the Talisman of Zotte indicates the exact number of dominoes which have been moved.
- A set of numbered cards is handed to a participant, who selects one of the numbers and places it in a card frame and even though the choice is completely free the Talisman of Zotte determines the selected number.
- The participant is requested to “merely THINK” of a number whilst holding the Talisman. The Talisman of Zotte correctly indicates the THOUGHT OF NUMBER.
